I've been using Trim Restorer for about 3 years now and it works great at restoring faded trim. I have tried a few different methods of application, but the method demo'ed here is the one has always worked best for me.
Here is the section I'll be restoring. It's a typical weathered, faded black trim.
Application
Step One · Apply a half dollar amount to a terry cloth covered foam pad. I like to use terry cloth because it has more "bite" then a microfiber towel. I also wear gloves because it can get pretty dirty restoring trim.
Step Two · Work the Trim Restorer in using moderate pressure and a back and forth motion.
This picture show the dirt, grime and oxidation removed by Trim Restorer.
Step Three · Use a clean terry cloth or microfiber towel and buff off the remaining residue. Inspect the area and repeat Step Two if needed.
Step Four · Apply a thin coat of Trim Restorer to area and let dry.
